VINEYARD 

Région :  Loire - Zone Coteaux de l'Aubance.

Oceanic climate. Northwesterly exposure

Soil : Colluvions sur altérations et altérites de shiste bleu

Grape variety :  Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon

Average age of vines:  25 years

Yield:  55 hl/ha

 

VINIFICATION  

Harvest:  Manuel and machine (manuel sorting carried out in the cellar)

Vinification :  grapes de-stalked and pressed

Pellicular maceration for 7 days

Ageing: matured in stainless steel tanks for 7 months

Beautiful robe, rich ruby colour.

Generous, engaging nose with a complex aroma of candied black and red fruits on a delicate smoky liquorice base.

Superb finish with a vigorous, captivating expression.

 

PREPARING AND SERVING

Anjou Rouge is a perfect accompaniment to grilled or roast red meat, game and cheese.

Serving temperature : 13°C (preferably decanted several hours before drinking)

 

Cellaring

This wine is perfect to drink now but will develop beautifully over a period of 1 to 3 years.
